Karamoor Estate is a world class wine producer located in Montgomery County, PA! Our vineyard and winery is located on the 250 acre private estate of owner’s Nicholas and Athena Karabots just 20 miles from central Philadelphia. We take pride in the fact that we are growing all of the grapes being used to produce our vinifera wine right here on our 27 acre vineyard! We plant Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Malbec.
Our wines have garnered many awards in international competitions, most notably (and most recently) we competed in California and brought home 8 medals! We took home gold for our 2013 Petit Verdot, silver for our 2013 Meritage, and bronze for our Sauvignon Blanc at the 2017 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. We won three silver medals from the San Diego International Wine Competition: 2014 Chardonnay with 89 points, 2013 Petit Verdot with 89 points, 2013 Reserve Merlot with 87 points, and two from the San Francisco International Wine Competition: a silver for our 2013 Meritage and a bronze for our 2013 Petit Verdot.
Karamoor Estate is gaining popularity and putting Pennsylvania on the map for great wine production with our quality wines which we craft from vine to bottle all on our property. While our wines have won awards in international competitions, we have also won quite a few gold medals right here on our own soil. The Pennsylvania Farm Show Wine Competition presented us with the Governor’s Cup in 2013, which named our 2008 Meritage the best wine in Pennsylvania. Since then, our wines have consistently won gold medals.
