HubBub first began as a shiny red mobile coffee truck, Philadelphia’s first, in 2009. Offering a full range of fresh, high-quality coffee, plus specialty coffee drinks and perfect pastries, HubBub quickly amassed a devoted crew of fans, bringing people – friends, neighbors and colleagues alike – together over a great cup of coffee.
HubBub has since expanded to include three storefronts, in Center City (1717 Arch Street), University City (3736 Spruce Street) and nearby Radnor, PA (232 North Radnor-Chester Road), and the truck is still available for private events and festivals. Motivated by owner Drew Crockett’s quality-driven yet personal approach, the shops bring top-notch coffee to devotees by sourcing beans from Lancaster, PA’s Passenger Coffee and Philadelphia’s own ReAnimator, milk from PA-based Trickling Springs Creamery, and pastries from local bakers. HubBub’s talented baristas are at the forefront of contemporary brewing techniques, including their proprietary cold-brew method, which has become a company signature. The company’s name is a playful nod to Crockett’s grandmother, who was fond of asking, “What’s all the hubbub about?”
